Dennis August Dingmann, 75, of Phoenix AZ and Spooner, WI departed earthly life September 7 at his home in WI. Dennis was born in 1948 to Sylvester L. and Ruth A.(Rettke) Dingmann in Eau Claire WI. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Connie Aumann.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean(Borum) Dingmann, daughters Meg Dingmann and Augusta (Rob) Howells; grandchildren Kent, Kaia and Daxson; nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
Dennis attended Eau Claire public school, Immaculate Conception Catholic school, Regis High School and WSUEC earning a business degree in accounting. Dennis' business career brought him to Western Electric, Chicago IL; from there to GTE in Stamford CT; next to Siemens in Phoenix AZ and Boca Raton FL. Dennis retired as CFO at Opuswave in Colorado Springs CO circa 2002. Dennis was a running and bicycling enthusiast as well as 20 years of being a dedicated soccer dad for his daughters. Dennis belonged to The Bassett Hound Club of America enjoying the love of several hounds through the years. After retiring Dennis celebrated 20 years of 'snowbird' life. Besides his human family, Dennis will be mourned by his two adopted rescue chihuahua mixes.
Appropriate memorials for Dennis would be to your local animal rescue, Parkinson's organizations or nature preservation.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Heartwood Resort, N10884 Hoinsville Road, Trego WI in the Great Hall dining room.
