Diane (DeeDee) Napiwocki, 73, passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2025, surrounded by family, following a long illness.
DeeDee was born on January 10, 1952, in Quonsett Point, Rhode Island to Betty and John Paczkowski. Following John's death in 1954, Betty married Harold Habeck.
DeeDee graduated from East High School, class of 1970, in Green Bay. She met Tom Napiwocki in Stevens Point and they were married in 1975. Tom and DeeDee celebrated 50 years of marriage shortly before she died. DeeDee worked in activities in nursing homes, as a job coach with developmentally disabled adults, and at an adult day care center. Her last position was at Hutchinson Technology in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Her warmth and compassion gave her a special bond with the people she worked with in every position she held.
DeeDee loved traveling to warm destinations, spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters, the occasional gambling trip, and shopping.
DeeDee survived and is missed by her husband Tom, children; Andy (Jill), Ashley, granddaughters; Penelope and Samantha, sisters; Christine (Jeff) Jenswold, Patti (Glen) Hurley, Paula Ihlenfeldt, Julie (Ty) Bouzek, brother; David (Linda) Habeck, many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Betty, father; John, stepfather; Harold, sister; Pam and brother; Danny.
DeeDee was known and loved for her kindness, her selflessness, and humor. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to thank Mayo Health Systems Hospice for their care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 24 from 12:00 to 3:00 at Chippewa Valley Cremation Services – Celebration of Life Center, 1717 Devney Drive, Altoona, WI 54720.
