Florence Eickstaedt Obituary

Florence Ann Eickstaedt, age 94 of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, September 22 at Cambridge Senior Living in Eau Claire. She was born on December 8, 1929 in Will County, IL to the late Martin and Anna Kregel.

She grew up on a farm in Beecher, a small town south of Chicago. After high school, Florence worked as a bank teller at Beecher Bank in Beecher, IL. She married Leo Eickstaedt on May 6, 1950. Leo preceded her in death on November 20, 2002.

Florence was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, the church choir and the LWML. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. This past June, Florence was able to see all of them and it meant the world to her.

She enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, sewing and embroidering.

Florence is survived by her sons, David (Elaine) of Orland Park, IL and Brian (Laurel) of Eau Claire; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joshua (Jenni) and their sons Nick and Drew of West End, NC, Eric (Jenna) and their son Brooks of Chandler, AZ, Nathan (Jessica) and their daughters Grace, Hannah and Isabelle of Eau Claire, and Kelsey (Andy) and their daughter Ivy of Hayward; and brother, Leonard (Marge) Kregel of Beecher, IL. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Leo, son Michael and siblings, Norman, Marlene and Kenneth.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 28 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 Fall St., Eau Claire, with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery, Township of Washington.
