Geraldine M. Westaby, 85, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, January 19 at Comforts of Home in Chippewa Falls under the care of Mayo Clinic Hospice.
Geraldine was born May 14, 1938 in Bloomer, the daughter of Gilbert and Mildred (Langel) Bohl.
On August 25, 1956, Geraldine married Thomas Vernon Westaby at St. Joseph's Church in Boyd. She was a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 20 years and was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
Geraldine is survived by four daughters, Cheryl (Randal) Patten, Diana (Russ) Rykal, Janet (Daniel) McDonough all of Chippewa Falls, and Linda Rene of Eau Claire; 11 grandchildren, Mike (Hallie) Patten, Jackie (Jared) Back, Derek Patten, Drew (Julie) and Jared (Sara) Rykal, Ryan (Katie) Rene, Jessica (Eric) Gilmore, Shannon (Chris) Krippinger, Alexandra, Garrett and Madison McDonough; and 15 great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Marlene) Bohl and Duane (Nancy) Bohl, both of Stanley; and two sisters, Darlene Eslinger of Chippewa Falls and Betty (George) Tomczak of Cadott.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon on November 12, 2011; one son, Thomas S. Westaby; son-in-law, Mike Rene; her parents; one sister, Joanne Schafer; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Patten.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3 at the funeral home.
