Gina H. Buhr, 104, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Gina was born May 21, 1921, in Stanley, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Gulcynski) Fijalkiewicz.
On November 1, 1947, Gina married Louis (Jack) Buhr in Chicago, IL.
Gina was known for her kind and generous heart. She took great delight in the many activities of the members of her large extended family. She was passionate about travel and enjoyed camping trips that centered around scenic and historic points of interest in each of the 48 continental states. She will be lovingly remembered for her commitment to her family, her service to others, and her legendary lemon bars.
Gina is survived by one son, William (Nancy Bocek) Buhr of Villa Park, IL; one brother, Frank Fijalkiewicz of Chippewa Falls; and three grandsons, Stephen Buhr of Lombard, IL, Jackson Buhr of Villa Park, IL and Matthew Buhr of Quincy, IL.
Gina was preceded in death by her husband, Louis (Jack); her parents, Joseph and Jennie (Gulcynski) Fijalkiewicz; her brother, George Fijalkiewicz; her sister, Helen Rohland; her sisters-in-law, Helen Fijalkiewicz, and Emily Fijalkiewicz; and her brother-in-law, Albert Rohland.
A funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Fr. David Mowry will serve as the celebrant of the service. A burial will follow services at River Side Cemetery in Withee, WI.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.
