Jamie Frederick Obituary

Jamie D. Frederick, born on Thursday, February 14, 1985, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and passed away on September 8 in Lake Wissota, Wisconsin. He was born to Daniel Frederick and Christine Hazelton.

Jamie was known for his infectious humor and his ability to bring joy to those around him with his quick wit and one-liners. At a very young age, Jamie enjoyed heavy equipment and trucks. He went from pushing toys in a sandbox to driving a skid-loader at four years old under the careful watch of his dad, whom he later worked with at Frederick Excavation, Inc.

A master at heavy machine operation, Jamie took pride in his work and was respected in his field. However, his true passion lay in spending time with his family and friends. Jamie loved nothing more than boating, grilling, and riding crotch rockets. He was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, often seen cheering for his team during games or enjoying the thrill of races at Crandon with his buddies.

Jamie's daughter, Hayden, was his proudest accomplishment and the light of his life. He shared a close relationship with his ex-wife, Bonnie Lauer, remaining best friends even after their separation.

Jamie held many friends and family dear to his heart, but none closer than his sister, Shannon. Although they were born separately of one another, they might as well have been twins - they were truly connected. He also loved and cherished his other siblings Kara, Keaten, Colten, Brooklyn, and cousin Serina Grill.

Jamie and his mom Chris also shared a strong mother/son bond-he was the light her life, he always will be; they would spend many nights deep in conversation and laughter. His love for those he cared for was unmatched; he protected his family diligently.

An avid grill master, Jamie enjoyed cooking and could whip up any dish to perfection. His love for music was evident in his favorite artists, Yelawolf and Mack Miller, which often provided the soundtrack to his life.

Jamie's zest for life and passion for fast-paced activities, along with his laughter, made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He leaves behind a legacy of friendship, laughter, and love, forever remembered as the best friend and family member to many.

Jamie is survived by his loving daughter, Hayden Frederick; his parents, Daniel (Mary) Frederick, Christine (Rick) Hazelton; step-dad Scott Koepl; his siblings, Shannon (Casey) Wheelock, Kara (Mike) Miller, Keaten Koepl, Colten Frederick, and Brooklyn Frederick; his niece, Kennidee Koepl; his grandmothers, Joan Frederick, and Barbara Grill-Swanson; his uncle, Larry Grill; along with many other beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard "Dick" Frederick, and Gene Grill; his uncles, Richard "Itch" Frederick, Jr., and Dale M. Grill; and best his friend, Jeff Eystad.

A celebration of Jamie's life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 at the Eagle Point Town Hall, 14802 WI-124, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. In accordance to his wishes, a cremation will take place.
