Norman Allen Gundlach, age 84 of Menomonie, passed away Friday, March 28 at The Neighbors of Dunn County.
Norm was born April 6, 1940 to Earl and Leona (Hegeman) Gundlach in Ladysmith, WI. He graduated from Boyceville High School. Norm went onto barber school and had an accomplished career of owning and operating his own barber shop for many years.
He was very involved in many organizations throughout the community. Shooting archery was a huge part of his life as well as an avid golfer. He loved hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors.
Norm is survived by two daughters, Sherrie (Robert) McRoberts and Cindy Bragg; son, Terry (Melinda) Gundlach; 12 grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) and Benjamin (Hannah) McRoberts, Michael and James Bragg, Jacque (Brody) and Chance Gundlach, Breanna, Matthew and Ciara Riste; many great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis (Barb) Gundlach; sister, Darlene (John) Marczak; sisters-in-law, Fran and Carol Gundlach. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ron and Butch; two grandchildren, Josh and Gage.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Bob Friese officiating. Burial will be at Sherman Cemetery in the town of Sherman, Dunn County. There will be a visitation with refreshments from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
