Clyde William "Bill" Mc- Clymonds, Jr., 75, of Manor Township, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1946, in Kittanning, to the late Clyde W. McClyomnds, Sr. and Nina (Boarts) McClymonds.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Vietnam War. He was wounded three times and was a Purple Heart medal recipient. Bill retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation. He loved cars and old things, and enjoyed gambling, gardening and hunting.
He is survived by his son, Clyde William "Bill" Mc- Clymonds III, of Ford City; his daughter, Kim Hilling, of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren; sisters: Deborah J. (Robert) Miller, Linda (Bob) Nimerosky and Tracy (Tom) Suwala, all of Ford City; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Patricia Harmon, Betty Riggle and Diane Craig.
The family is requesting that guests wear masks.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Welch Funeral Service LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City.
There will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Appleby Manor Memorial Presbyterian Church, 810 Main St. in Manor Township, with the Rev. Marty Neal officiating.
Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
