Edward Papciak Obituary

Dr. Edward J. Papciak, 51, of 2208 Center Ave., Ford City, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006.He was born July 13, 1955, in Kittanning to Edward and May Louise (Wolfe) Papciak.Dr. Papciak was a self-employed dentist.He was a member of Christ Prince of Peace Church in Ford City.He was a 1973 graduate of Ford City High School, a 1977 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a 1981 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School.His interests included bicycling, kayaking, fitness, gardening and landscaping, military history and science fiction.Survivors include his father and stepmother Edward and Betty Papciak of Boardman, Ohio; and one sister, Louise Papciak of Charleston, W.Va.He was preceded in death by his mother, who died Nov. 24, 1990; and his wife, who died Sept. 6, 2006.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Mantini Funeral Home Inc., 724 Sixth Ave., Ford City, where a Prayer for the Deceased will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday and a Prayer for the Transfer of the Body will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Christ Prince of Peace Parish, Ford City, with his pastor, the Rev. Edward Lewis, officiating. The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
