Edward Lee Toy Jr., 55, of Adrian, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 3, 1960, in Kittanning, to the late Edward L. and Mildred (Ruffner) Toy Sr. Ed was a lifelong resident of Adrian. He was a truck driver for 11 years at Budman and spent the last 26 years in the Carpenter Union Local 759. He was a member of Montgomeryville Baptist Church. He was also a member of Seneca Lodge No. 805 F and AM, Coudersport Consistory, Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cowansville American Legion Post 325 and Kittanning Men's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, riding side-by-sides, vacationing with family and friends and playing with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, whom he married Aug. 15, 1981, Diana "Hop" Toy; sons, Dustin Toy (wife, Janelle) and Dillion Toy, both of Adrian; grandsons, Hunter and Gavin Toy, of Adrian; sisters, Kas Wolfe (husband, Pork), of Cowansville, Pat Wolfe (husband, Bob), of Adrian, and Cheryl Hooks (husband, George), of Cowansville; brother, Eric Toy (wife, Dee), of Cowansville; sister-in-law, Debra "Deb" Rodgers (husband, Roy), of Cowansville; brothers-in-law, David "Joe" Freeman (wife, Karla), of Adrian, Duane "Doc" Freeman, of Adrian, and Denis "Pize" Freeman (wife, Teri), of Kittanning; and sister-in-law, Doris "Dort" Gearhart (husband, Axle), of Brackenridge; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Catherine Ruffner, and James and Ora Toy; and mother and father-in-law, Emery and Eleanor Freeman. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Cowansville. Additional viewing from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Limestone-Reesedale Church of God with the Rev. Robert French officiating. Interment in the Croyle Cemetery.
