Hedwig Trop Obituary

Hedwig E. (Morda) Trop, formerly of Ford City, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.She was born in Ford City to Charles S. and Mary (Pytel) Morda.She was a lifelong resident of Ford City. She was a member of Christ Prince of Peace Parish, Ford City. She enjoyed spending time with her family.Survivors include two sons, Raymond Trop and wife, Dee, of Fox Chapel, and Carl G. Trop and wife, Corinne, of Shaler Township; a daughter, Janice Lakatos and husband Michael C. of Allison Park; four grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Evan and Courtney Trop; three brothers, Edward, Robert and George Morda, all of Ford City; and one sister, Theresa Peresie of Ford City.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl P. Trop; one brother, William; and one sister, Jennie Regny.Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mantini Funeral Home, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City, where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and Prayers for the Transfer of the Deceased at 10 a.m. Wednesday with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Lewis officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
