Jerry K. Bish Sr., 79, of West Leechburg, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, in his residence.
A son of the late Ernest Bish and Veryl (Kunselman) Bish, he was born July 16, 1943, in Kittanning, Pa.
Jerry had been employed as a brick layer by Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge, for more than 28 years, before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg. Jerry liked hunting and fishing, especially at his camp in Sigel. He enjoyed reading, watching NASCAR, listening to country music and being involved with all of his grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Pauline Bish, of West Leechburg; his son, Jerry K. Bish, Jr. (Jill), of Leechburg; grandchildren: Brianna Jo Class (Jonathan), of Nashville, Tenn., and Brandon Ray Bish (Kayla Heberling), of Plum; and a sister, Lona Sue Milanak (Andrew).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Bish; and a sister, Dixie Jo Reefer.
Friends will be welcomed by his family on Friday, Aug. 5, from 1-3 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 followed by funeral ceremonies beginning at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Pusch officiating.
Private interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's name may be made to the Leechburg Area Education Foundation (Robert E. Nigro Scholarships), c/o 1478 Main St., Leechburg, PA 15656.
