Kathie M. Young, 66, of Ford City, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1948, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late L.H. Campbell and Jean Fahlor Campbell. Kathie enjoyed doing genealogy research and spending time with her family and granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by her husband, John Young; sons, Joshua Young and wife, Lenya, and David Young and wife, Charlene; and four granddaughters, Lydia and Allison Young, Cydni and Zoe Vinton. She is also survived by a brother, Jerry and Marsha Campbell, of Ford City; a sister, Donna and Jack Bryan, of Ford City; a sister-in-law, Sheila Campbell; and a number of nieces and nephews. Kathie was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Paul Campbell and James Campbell. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Shawn Smith officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
