Kenneth Mitchell, 84, of Ford City, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, at his home.
He was born on March 14, 1938, in Kittanning, a son of the late William and Lydia Mitchell, and was a lifelong resident of the community.
Kenneth retired as the Armstrong County Chief Deputy Sheriff. He was of the Baptist faith. Kenneth was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 502, the Coudersport Consistory, the Shriners, Kittanning Elks Lodge and Ford City Eagles. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, mowing grass, watching TV, especially sports and wrestling and having a beer with his buddies. The family would like to express much love and appreciation for loving and devoted care from family members: Jim, Erica, Tom and Kim.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Barbara; his five children and their families; a sister-in-law and family; a step-daughter and family; and a step-daughter-in-law and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Billy, Tom, Lew and Keith; two sisters: Betty and Mary; grandson, Cody; and step-son, Gordon.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kenneth's honor to Shriners Hospital.
