Linda Kay Bowser, 67, of Kittanning, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at her residence. She was born Aug. 2, 1945, in West Fairfield, to the late Sidney R. and Margaret K. (Schlagel) Ford, and married William E. Bowser June 23, 1962. She worked as a licensed practical nurse and retired from Ford City Family Practice in 2011. Family meant everything to her. She enjoyed being a wife of 50 years, and loved being a mother, but her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing games, bingo, bowling, gambling, bus trips and being with her good friends, Russ and Linda Ion. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Bowser; her daughters, Saundra (Butch) Anthony, Lynne Anne (Shane) Thomson, and Billie (Tim) Schall; her son, Craig (Erika) Bowser; her grandsons, John Pechan, Derek Cornman and Seth Schall; her granddaughters, Carli (Jacob) Dietrich, Chelsi Anthony, Kiara Anthony and Jenny Thomson; her two great-grandsons, Dylan and Levi Dietrich; stepgrandchildren, Hillary (Jim) Morrow and Justin Anthony; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Ethan Walker and Eli Morrow. She is also survived by her sisters, Peg (Dan) Goldinger, Connie Bish and Nancy (Duane) Bellas; a brother, Rick Ford; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Ford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Larry Cornman Jr.; two brothers, Robert and Frank Ford; a brother-in-law, Chip Bish; and her in-laws, Corbin and Anne Bowser. Friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, with Mr. Edward Walters officiating.
