Patricia Phillippi Obituary

Patricia Jean (Brinkley) Phillippi, 77, of Rural Valley, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, in Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia. She was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Brookville, a daughter of the late Ivan Sr. and Margaret Brinkley. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are three sons, Donald Phillippi, Dana Phillippi and Michael Phillippi and wife, Josie; daughter, Diane Shope; grandson, Dominic James Covolo; three granddaughters, Valerie Kelly, Stormy Phillippi-Harrington and Samantha Phillippi; three great-grandsons, Brock Robert Shope, Ethan Oliver Phillippi and Elliott Flanner Covolo; a sister, Ann (Brinkley) Dickey; a brother, Ivan Brinkley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee L. Phillippi, of 60 years; parents; daughter, Debra L. Covolo; two brothers, Donald and Max Brinkley; three sisters, Helen Brinkley Anderson, Ann Watson Ferguson and Evelyn Watson Samson; and stepmother, Mayme Watson Brinkley. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME INC., Rural Valley. Interment will follow in Rural Valley Cemetery. www.carsonboyer.com.
