A memorial service will be held for Patrick Kenneth Wray, 44, of Ford City, who passed away Nov. 23, 2021, on Jan 22, 2022, at 1 P.M. at Furnace Run Chapel, 154 Montgomery Rd, Kittanning, Pa 16201. Pastor Clarence Walker will preside over the service, and a luncheon will be held immediately following the service.
Patrick Kenneth Wray, 44, of 951 Main St. Ford City, Pa son of Kenneth and Elaine (Boyer) Wray went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus November 23, 2021. He was born in Meadville, Pa Nov. 1, 1977. He passed away at the home of his extended family Justin and Julia Morelli surrounded, by his mother and the Morelli family. Shortly before his death he described in detail his pain and suffering these past eight months due to cancer and a stroke but ended it confidently by saying "It's been hard, but Jesus wins!"
Patrick graduated from Lenape Vo Tech in 1997 where he won the Golden Hammer Award for carpentry which he immediately dedicated to his grandfather Melby Boyer.
He worked as a carpenter, roofer and house painter, but found his niche as a tree climber which he exceeded at. From the time he was a small child he would attempt to climb anything from the barn roof to the tallest tree, terrifying his mother. He'd get to the top of whatever he was climbing, grin and wave.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his aunts: Elizabeth Hepner, of West Kittanning, Pa; Barbara Thomas of Louisville, Ky; uncles: Robert (Marie) Wray, Larry Smith, of Guys Mills, Pa.; many cousins and his extended family Justin, Julia, Ava, Baella, and Armani (Armanti) Morelli.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wray; grandparents: Claude and Martha Wray, Melby and Leona Boyer; aunts: Gloria (Aunt Glo) Smith, Shirley Boyer; and uncles: John Boyer and Rev. Howard Thomas.
A special thanks is extended from the family to Dr. Larisa Greensburg and Dr. Pargnan Kancharla.
