Mari Schaeffer Obituary

Mari Alexis Schaeffer, 26, of Vandalia, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, when she passed away at the Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colo. She no longer lives serving Him within the confounds of the old body, but now walks free on streets of pure gold no longer in pain, and never to feel sorrow or fear again.
A celebration ceremony will be held to honor Mari's life at 11 a.m. on Friday at First Church of God in rural Vandalia. There will be a receiving and reception time from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church. A private family burial will take place at Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown following the ceremonies at the church. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Illinois State Youth Ministries. Online condolences may be shared at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
