GREG DENNEY

GREGORY LEE DENNEY Gregory Lee Denney, 73, Leavenworth, left this life and went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born in Leavenworth Kan., on March 30, 1950, to John Denney and Dorothy (Wright) Denney. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church where he was baptized and confirmed. He was currently a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Greg began each day spending time with his Savior, reading and studying God's word. Greg was a kind, generous person who enjoyed talking with everyone. He would help anyone needing a helping hand. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved Grandma Mayme, other grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his son, Derek and children, Aaron, Zach, Zoe, and Avery and great-grandson Nolan, his daughter, Beth Stafford (Travis) and children, Madison Sumner, Kylie Hampton, and Carson and Chloe Stanford. Greg leaves behind two brothers: John (Connie) and Mike (Marilou) and four sisters: Barbara Alonzi (Rett), Marsha, Julie Taylor (Steve), and Becky Kobler (Brian). Greg also leaves behind two aunts, two uncles and many cousins. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with graveside service to follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
