Life was way too short for Blake but the life he lived was good and he achieved so many goals is time here with us. To Ronnie, the family, and many friends of Blake:
I am truly sad for your loss* But I am so thankful to have known Blake throughout high school, and even before then. I remember when our families went to the beach together and I fell madly in love with him there, but he had no idea! He had bleached blonde hair and was wearing his black oakleys..mmm mmm! Then we took a goofy picture when we went to play put-put across the street and I made sure I stood right next to him! haha. I also enjoyed watching him wrestle at all the matches at Hardaway and getting to hang out with him and Erica on occasions. He had so many friends and inspired so many others to live life to the fullest, especially me. He will forever be remembered and missed! You raised a wonderful young man and I pray that God gives us all the strength to know that we will see him again someday. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

I know you've already heard it time and again, but I just wanted to tell you that you raised a wonderful person. I met Blake in middle school, then we went to Hardaway, and eventually UGA together. It was such a comfort having him with me in Athens. He was so much fun to be around and I will deeply miss him. God bless you both during this difficult time.

I am truly sad for your loss and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I went to Johnson, Arnold, and Hardaway with Blake and he was always such a fun person to be around. I remember back in elementary school when he used to come into the classroom bragging about getting to go to gifted and we used to just laugh because we knew no matter how smart he was, he was still the same goofy guy to us. I remember in middle school how we were "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" and we were "going out" back before relationships were even a big deal (but hey! they were a big deal to us back then!). I only wish we would have been better friends through high school and would have stayed in touch more through college. The times that we spent in the same crowds were great though. I even feel blessed that his mom still remembered me by name, after all these years, when I was working at Dillard's just a few months ago. I'm so thankful I was able to know Blake all these years. You raised a wonderful guy and he will be truly missed. I pray that God gives all of you the strength to know that you will see him again one day. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Ron-Your loss was deeply felt by those of us at the Harris County Health Department. We know how much you loved your son. Your conversations with all of us eventually got back to Blake and "Georgia". We all know that Blake will be watching the Sugar Bowl from Heaven. God never gives more than you can carry and if your arms feel heavy He will carry you. We will pray that your love for Blake will also help to ease that burden. Know that Blake is in a far better place and that one day you will be together again. Blake was loved by so many. My first semester at UGA would of been a loss if it wasn't for him. He was my first real friend, and almost everyday for my first two years of college I was spoiled enough to see Blake's smiling face. The worse things always happen to the most wonderful people. He was smart, funny, genuine. I hope his father knows that he was his best friend; Blake talked about him all the time. Blake loved having fun, he loved life so much--I can't even believe he's gone. Blake, you'll always be in my heart, and I know you're watching over all of us mourning you. The sadness, this feeling of loss, consumes me. My prayers are with Blake's family, his friends, his girlfriend. I know he really cared about her--I remember when he first met her, he couldn't stop talking about her. He was so happy. Blake, you'll always be missed.
