Annie McCutcheon Obituary

Annie Ruth McCutcheon December 2, 1922 - August 9, 2004 PHENIX CITY, AL - Annie Ruth McCutcheon, 81, of Phenix City, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, at her home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City with interment following at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The Rev. Norman Garrison, the Rev. Curtis Jamieson and the Rev. Ronald Shirley will be officiating. The grandsons will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 according to Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy. 431 North Phenix City. Mrs. McCutcheon was born Dec. 2, 1922 in Covington County, Ala., daughter of the late James Andrew Stroud and Liddia Byrd Stroud. She was the widow of Samuel Webster McCutcheon to whom she was married for 58 years. Mrs. McCutcheon was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God Church and she was a retired textile worker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren, Carolyn Wambles and Ruthie Ann Stringfellow and one great granddaughter. Survivors include four daughters, Frances Browder and husband Lowell of Phenix City, Betty Wambles and husband Ray of Phenix City, Donna Richardson and husband, Lamar of Columbus, Ann Mills and husband James of Phenix City; a son, William McCutcheon of Wisconsin; a sister, Etta Windham of Andalusia, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Flowers will be accepted, but donations may be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909, in memory of Annie Ruth McCutcheon.
