Bobby Linton Obituary

Bobby Linton August 30, 1939- December 10, 2007 PHENIX CITY, AL— Bobby Linton 68 of Phenix City, AL, passed away Monday, December 10, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 2:00pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, AL. with Rev. Emory Evans officiating the service. Active pallbearers will be John Kittrell, Robert Denham, Steve Linton, Casey Linton, Larry Jones and Chris Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Mays, Eddie Daffin, Mark Clayton, Richard Bailey and Lee Wagner. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Linton was born August 30, 1939 in Glenwood, AL, son of the late William Freeman Linton and Lona Lester Linton. He was a self employed freight line distribution broker and was a Pentecostal by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Tharpe Linton; a stepdaughter, Enina Bates and husband Rusty of Columbus, GA; a son, Steve Linton Gordon of Columbus, GA; a step-son, Steve Thorpe and wife, Connie of Columbus, GA; two sisters: Addice Denham of Phenix City, AL and Carlene Kittrell of Smiths Station, AL; two brothers, Rex Linton of Phenix City, AL and Lanford Linton and wife, Rhonda, of Phenix City, AL; several nieces and nephews and many loving frineds.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Bobby, as everyone is. Bobby was so kind and generous to everyone. He definitely knew how to make everyone smile and be happy.
