Columbus, GA- Mr. Brantley Gatson Bruton of Columbus passed Monday, May 23, 2016 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. He was 46 years of age.
The son of Johnnie and Arlease Gatson Bruton of Columbus, Bruton was born in Moss Point, MS and was a 1988 graduate of William H. Spencer High School. He also attended Alabama State University.
Survivor, other than his parents include: a son, Brantley "BJ" Ford; a daughter, Brittney Bruton; three brothers, Bradley (Tanya) Bruton, Scottie (Bridgette) Bruton, and Maurice Bruton; his loving fiance', Natasha Thomas; loving aunts and uncles, Nettie Malone, Roscoe(Marilyn) Gatson, Gerry Gatson, Louise Gatson, and Roscoe McDonald, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Bruton will be held today, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Canaan Baptist Church with Bishop Ronald K. Harris officiating. The interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at progressivefuneralhome.com. Progressive Funeral Home, Inc. "A Touch of Dignity for Those Who Care."

You lit up a room with your smile, and were like a brother to my brother too. Your family and friends mourn over you not being here anymore physically, but I cherish every story I heard about you and THE boys. God only takes the best, and you were it.
