Columbus, Georgia- Celia Hester Farley-Hudnall, age 92, resident of Columbus, died on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends in the Mill Room one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00pm.
Mrs. Farley-Hudnall was the daughter of Sallie Averett Hester and William Perry Hester, and sister of four brothers, Cecil W. Hester, F. Eugene Hester, Loran Hester, and William R. Hester all of Atlanta who have preceded her in death. She came to Columbus in 1948 when she married J. Jefferson Farley who preceded her in death. Mrs. Farley-Hudnall later married Robert Hudnall who has also preceded her in death.
She retired from the Columbus Postal Credit Union as the Assistant Manager and is a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church as well as William Henry Shaw Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen J. Farley and wife Cindy of Alpharetta, GA., Donald J. Farley and wife Nicole of Columbus; step-daughter, Susan Hudnall of Columbus; step-son, Kenneth Hudnall and wife Sharon of El Paso, TX.; three grandchildren, Amy Farley of Alpharetta, GA., Carson Farley, Cooper Farley; two nieces, Joyce Collins and Nancy Hester.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church Older Adult Ministries.

Steve and Don, our family will miss your Mom, and we know that the long friendship that she had with Bo and Jean was true and solid and everlasting. She was a great mother and we are glad that she was a frequent guest at our house. We will be thinking of you on Monday as you celebrate her life and resurrection.
