Midland, Georgia - Shortly before midnight,Sunday,October 23, 2022, the Lord called his faithful servant Rev. Dr. Col (Ret.) Roy George Plummer, age 84, to rest from his labors. Roy is survived by is loving and devoted wife Kenyetta R. Plummer. He is preceded in death by his father Wilfred Plummer, mother Lucilda Annita Plummer "nee" Morris, Grandmother Ms. Olive "Mama" Morris, Daughter, Delia M. Hughes and Grandson Andrew J. Middleton. Left to Cherish his memories: 1 son Patrick Plummer (Valerie), 5 Daughters Col. (Ret.) Sandra R. Clark (Kenneth), Paula Richardson, Dionne Plummer, Royale Plummer, Natasha Ridgeway (Jaquan). Brothers Patrick Plummer and Dane Plummer. 1 sister Ruby Plummer. Grandsons: Devonte Smith, Ashleigh Plummer, Andre Plummer, Alston Plummer, Kenneth H. Clark III, Jathniel Ridgeway, Jair Ridgeway. Granddaughters: Ashley Allen, Amber Preston, Skylar Clarke, Sydnee Clarke, Sariyah Plummer, Ashley R. Plummer and Alexis K. Clark. Great Grand Children: Naydia Smith, Saige McKinney and Sirene Preston. Devoted mother-in-law Brenda Burroughs (Larry), sister-in-law Nikki Winston and brother-in-law Derrick Gwin, Godson Nathan "Nunu" Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and church family. Roy Plummer was the Senior Pastor and Founder of Faith Tabernacle Community Church where he leaves behind his unwavering and dedicated members to pick up the torch that he lit 28 years ago. Public viewing will be held on November 2, 2022, from 10:00AM-4:00PM in the Faith Tabernacle Community Church sanctuary, 1603 Floyd Road, Columbus, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 11:00AM at the Columbus Civic Center, 400 4th Street, Columbus, Georgia. Interment will follow with full military honors accorded at Ft Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft Mitchell, Alabama. Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 1605 3rd Avenue, Columbus, Georgia, 706-327-9293 entrusted with final arrangements.

My deepest sympathy goes out to First Lady Kenyatta Plummer and the entire family. I had the privilege of serving as Chaplain Plummer's enlisted assistant briefly early in his career at Chapel 9 when we were with the 15th Engineer Battalion (Combat) at Fort Lewis, Washington. Our paths never crossed again, but even then, I knew he was destined for greatness. He will be missed by all who knew him. May God bless and be with you.

My parents informed me of Pastor Plummer's homegoing. Remembering Chaplain Plummer where our family attended the Ft. Lewis Gospel service at Chapel 9, while living in Tacoma, WA from 1974 until 1981.

Kenyatta Plummer it so hard to say good bye to someone who you love. But I can assure you in time it will get better might take a little while, but know this God is right there and with him sit Roy watching over you and the baby waiting until you come home to him. Keep your head high and every thought you will think about will be all the good thing you shared with Roy. Later you on you will remember all the funny thing yawl laugh about, then you will think of thing you told him not to do but he did it any and you got mad. These things are the love you shared with Roy George Plumber. If you need anything let me know, if you want to get away for awhile let me know come visit me Your have been bless and you will continue to be blessed over and over.
