I am sorry for your loss and am thinking of your family during this sad time. I knew Dathan and Deborah and Del during our high school years in Rome, Ga. I attended North Rome Methodist Church, where their dad was the minister. Along with Mrs. Mabry, they were a lovely family.

I just happened across this obituary at the Cox Funeral Home site and suddenly realized "I know who that is!" It has been many years - from back when my dad was pastor at Watkinsville Methodist Church. I remember Rev. Ralph and "Miss Emma" and the three children. I was 5-8 years old myself. My parents spoke of the Mabry's through the years. Daddy died in 1984 and Mother in 2008. Wish I had known Dathan as an adult. Please pass on my sympathy to Emma, Del, and Deborah.

Frankie and family:

I am praying for you all. I certainly am going to miss Dathan. He is a great man and loved you all so much. I remember the first time I worked an Emmaus team with him and he served in the Kitche - I referred to him as a wonderful gentle giant. Thanks for sharing him with all of us over the years! We will all miss him - he touched so many of our lives and was a great example of a servant! We will continue to keep you all lifted!
