Coach Pollard was my teacher alongside Ms Brown. I was in 9th grade science at the time. Even as an adult I now look back and remember the times he often remarked that the class should be more like me due to my timid & quiet nature. He was never shy to correct us and our behavior. He did it out of care for us all. He knew our potential and pushed us to do better, to be better. I remember being in the nurses office one time and he was there, laying down because he was sick. He always showed up regardless. The entire school was quiet the day after he passed. You could hear a pin drop in the hall. I still think about coach pollard and I pray God rest his soul.

My heart aches along with my family. We say God took him to soon, but his Father in Heaven say it was on time. God have his mansion ready for him to live in, David is going where the streets are paved with gold. He have left this world and left his name to live on forever. He have left the community sad, who would have known that my little David would make news like this! I would say don't cry and cheer up , but that asking a bit to much, even with me. David a young man from the community have left his earthly family and now crossed over to be with his Heavenly family. We have something to be proud of. The Angels brought him his ticket, he board that train and headed to his mansion in Heaven God said "David come on home and rest " rest on cousin. love you much!
