There are no words that anyone could say at this time as we celebrate the life of Dennis “Dee Tee” Thomas, yet mourning the passing a founding member of the band Kool & the Gang and he will be deeply missed, yet never be forgotten. The legacy of his music will be cherish, live on the radio to play for ever. Also, The Kool & Gang band they brought & give us great joy to their music to all. I love the songs Ladies Nite, Celebration, Get Down On It & Cherish. My thoughts, prayers are with you.

I.remember I met him at the Ohio State fair .everytime he came to Columbus Ohio. Showed him around Columbus Ohio because he loved hats he asked me .did I no a place to get hats I said yes. At that time we had Lee's style shop on EST main Street DOWN town Columbus. Every one wanted to no how I got to show him Columbus I was proud to share that day . he got to no my children she posted picture he bought a black derby hat .and he wore it the night of the show .will cherrish the love and memories .forever.

Dennis (DEE TEE) Thomas of Kool and the Gang you will surely be missed, R.I.P. my brother. The sound of your Selmer Alto Sax will be a sound for the ages. You, the last member of the original three-piece horn section of Ronald Bell and Robert"Spike" Mikens of a group that had a sound like no other. The harmonic blend of sounds between the horns were impeccable.
From your first album back from 1969 I was hooked and had to step up my game on my own horn, for there was always room for improvement. May God bless you and your family. When you did the prologue to the tune “Who’s Gonna Take the Weight” I know now It’s not you for you’ve done your time and your weight has been lifted. Go on and rest, no more sorrows, no more worries and no more burdens to bare. I thank you and the other members for your" Kool" sound and showmanship !!

Dennis DT Thomas was an excellent musician and showmen and also a man with a beautiful soul who cared deeply about the affairs of the world and understood that music is a healing balm for the minds and hearts of people. I am heartbroken that such a brilliant light that walked this earth realm has now made his transition. My prayers are for DT's Family, Friends, Fans and his beloved Bandmates in Kool and the Gang. Thank you, Dennis, for sharing your wisdom, wit, flair for fashion, musicianship, musical mastery, your magnificent speaking voice, your mental and spiritual philosophies with the world but most of all I thank you for sharing your LOVE.
