June 20, 1964 - September 22, 2021
Phenix City, Alabama - Dixie Anna Shiver, 57, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Mrs. Shiver was born June 20, 1964, to the late, Marvin Wayne Burkes and Ann Rutledge Burkes. She worked as a bus driver for Muscogee County School District. She was very talented in crocheting, enjoyed walking in the woods, working outside, and nature in general. She loved her children and animals. Other than her father, she is preceded in death by her brother Richard Scott Burkes.
She leaves behind her mother, Ann Burkes, her partner of 17 years, Mike Shirah; two daughters, Deonna Franks and Amelia Shiver (Benn), Mike's children who loved her; Leslie Shirah, Brandi Cadir, and Jeremy Shirah; her grandchildren, Rhiannon Griggs, Shelby Griggs, Daxton Campbell, Emory Campbell, and Mike's grandchildren; Caden Shirah, Sebastian Cadir, and Paris Shirah; and her grandmother Ella Ruth Burkes. She also leaves behind a special friend and sister Jeanne Bryan Greer. Dixie loved all of her family very much and we all miss her.
