Salem, AL- Doty "Christy" Christina Tucker, 42, of Salem, AL, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Friday, November 13, 2015, at Epworth UMC, with Reverend Grant Parker and Reverend Robert Goodman officiating. Interment will be private and the family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Christy was born on March 2, 1973, the daughter of James Michael Tucker, Sr. and Doty Troutman Tucker. She was a graduate of both Smiths Station High School and West Alabama and was in the marching band at both schools. She was a member at Epworth UMC where she sang in the choir and was active with the Wesley Cornerstone Sunday school class.
Other than her parents she is survived by a brother, James Michael Tucker, Jr., wife Melissa of Phenix City, AL; niece Macey Tucker; nephew, Mitchell Tucker; extended family members and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Epworth UMC, 3763 Hwy 431N, Phenix City, AL 36867 or to Joyful Learnings Class at Summerville Baptist Church, 3500 Summerville Road, Phenix City, AL 36867, in memory of Christy Tucker.

I'm going to miss you, Christy. To the Tucker family, she was such a sweet soul. Her friendship will be greatly missed. My college days have many memories that include her. She always had a laugh that made everyone else laugh, too. Prayers being lifted up.

Christy was such a trooper, such a fighter, such an inspiration. Mickey, when you would come to work and tell us that she was battling with headaches, constantly, and having such a time with it all, my heart would just fill with thoughts and prayers for her to get some relief. We saw you and knew how worried you would be over her illnesses, and I know it is so very hard to think this, but now you can know that she is with her Savior and no longer suffering, and that you and Doty helped her and was there for her through so much. May your wonderful memories of the good and happy times and with God's help, see you through the days to come. God Bless all of you.
