I first met Edith at a motel where we both worked. She made such a difference in my life. She always came in with a positive attitude no matter how she felt. She never had an unkind word to say to anybody. I loved her dearly and I will miss her.

Edith was my friend....for many years. For several years while I lived in Columbus, she was also my church buddy. We sat together on Sunday and shared stories about our past week. She often kept my cockatiel, Truman, while we were out of town. He loved visiting his "grandmother". As her health grew worse and I moved away, we still talked often by phone as long as she lived at home. Moving into the nursing home made visiting more difficult, but I tried to call and visit as often as I was in Columbus. Her spirit prevailed and she never let me leave without saying "I love you." I will miss her sweet spirit, but I am comforted by knowing we will see each other again.
