Columbus, Georgia - Emma Mae Sanford Marks, 73, of Columbus, GA passed Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Columbus. A funeral service for Mrs. Marks will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 6804 Forrest Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Rev. James G. Davis, Pastor will be officiating according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home located at 927-5th Avenue, Columbus.
Mrs. Marks was born on March 17, 1951 in Americus, GA. She was employed as a nurse for several years at Oak and Pine Manor Nursing Home before working at Muscogee Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Marks fought the battle of sickle cell disease for over 73 years. Through it all, she never wavered or gave up. She lived her life until God said, "Well done Thy good and faithful servant."

Seems so unreasonable that someone I've known my whole entire life is not physically here anymore. I wanna say thank you my aunt for all you did for me and so many others. You gave so much of yourself to everyone and you will be greatly missed here on earth but what a wonderful home you have with Jesus. Until I see you again. I love you always.
