Columbus, Georgia - Mr. Ernest "Pokey" Freeman, Jr., 75 of Columbus, GA passed April 14, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL with Dr. Verray Caldwell, Sr., officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Freeman, Jr. was born November 3, 1946 in Phenix City, AL to the late Ernest Freeman, Sr. and the late Leona Freeman. He served in the US Army, worked at the U.S. Post Office and was as a counselor at Turning Point.
Survivors include his wife, Josie Kegler Freeman; three children, Christopher Freeman, Kieara Kegler and Tieara Stutson; two grandchildren, Tyler and Damarion; sister, Annie D.
