i think of you ethan everyday of my life, esp when i am driving home and pass the route i used to take to pick you up everyday. i still cant believe it and my heart still hurts. im so thankful to have been apart of your life and you mine. i love you so much ethan parmer, and will forever.

Carlie, I heard the love you had for Ethan in the way you spoke passionately about him. Your love for him was obvious in all you said about him and did with him and for him. I pray that you will have a glorious reunion one day in heaven and you can spend an eternity hanging out with your son. My prayers are with you in your time of grief and sorrow and loneliness. Ethan brought joy to all who loved him. His smile was infectious, seemed he always had one from the time he was a baby until the last day I saw him. He was loved very much and will be missed greatly. I love you both so very much, you are in my thoughts always.

My heart breaks for your family. My only daughter passed away on March 10th of this year putting me in a club I never wanted to be in, no parent does. It is hard to accept the loss of a child, the loss of their goals and dreams for the future. I was comforted by the kindness of others who loved my child and were touched by her. I am thankful for the 25 years we had with her. Have faith, keep your strength, cry when you need to, talk of him often and keep him alive in your mind and heart.

I have been missing the little boy who use to stop by my house every week to play/talk/hang out/pick on me ever since you moved away and now it breaks my heart to know you won't be stopping by at all any more. Ethan was one of my first friends as a little girl when I moved. He was quick to invite me in as a friend, he always made me smile, and always cared. I thank God for his friendship and I will be praying for you Mrs. Carlie and Mr. John.

To Ethan's family,
Ethan was someone very dear to me, and it broke my heart to know that I lost the privilege to have more of him in my life. He truly was a wonderful friend who never ceased to make me smile and make me feel good about myself. For those that he knew, they felt very loved and special to have him in their lives. He was someone who lived life to the fullest, and looked at life in a way that most are too afraid to perceive. Ethan truly was someone one of a kind, and he will be dearly missed by everyone he came to know.
