Ft. Mitchell, Al.- Fannie Mitchell was born in Russell County to the late Jessie and Alice Mitchell December 18, 1936. On Monday September 10, 2012 God called home one of his Angels.
Services will be 1:00pm Saturday September 15, 2012 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Ft. Mitchell with interment to follow in the church cemetery.The procession will depart Battle & Battle at 12:00 pm on Saturday. Visitation is 1-7pm today at Battle & Battle Funeral Home.
She confessed christ at ana early age and joined the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She was a member of the Sr. Usher Board, Sr. Choir and member of the Pastor's Aid Board untill her health failed.
She worked in Lodging at Ft. Benning, Georgia for many years until she retired.
Cherishing her memory are her Daughter; Marcia Mitchell; Step-Daughter; Annette (Sherman) Hightower, Sisters; Minnie Thomas, Ft. Mitchell; Jessie B. Moses, New York; Sadie Mitchell, Columbus, Ga; Alice (Dossie) Johnson, Phenix City, Al. Grandchildren; Ashonte' Jackson and Devonte' Mitchell. A special Godson Dr. Michael (Bernita) Mitchell. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, relatives and many friends.
