Frances Lee Loftin Kelley April 1, 1930 - April 12, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA — Frances Lee Loftin Kelley, 79, of Columbus, GA  passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Martin Army Hospital in Ft. Benning, GA. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 till 8 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. Born April 1, 1930 in St. Louis, MO, Frances was raised in MO and joined the U.S. Army in 1948 where she was initially stationed at Ft. Lee, VA and then served in 7011th A.S.U. WAC DET in Ft. Myer, VA. There she met Clarence Kelly, Jr. and later married him in Ellicott City, MD on November 12, 1949. In 1965, the Kelleys moved to the Columbus area where Frances continued to raise her three children while her husband continued his military service. In support of the her family, Frances worked at Millers, Western Auto and Montgomery Wards. Frances spent the remainder of her life as a loving wife and a caring and supportive mother, grandmother and great-grand- mother. Frances is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clarence Kelley, Jr. of Columbus, GA; her daughter Janeth Hargis of Columbus, GA; son Ronald Kelley of Fortson, GA; daughter Martha (Randall) Campbell of Midway, TX; six grandchildren: Keith Kelley of Eufaula, AL, Jenny (Raul) Gonzalez of Houston, TX, Angie Campbell of Houston, TX, LeeAnn (Todd) Bohannon of Wimberley, TX, Wesley Hargis of Jonesboro, GA, and Chelsea Kelley of Columbus, GA; sister Martha (Robert) French of Playa Del Ray, CA; brother Thomas (Doris) Loftin of St. Peters, MO; five great-grandchildren and many more loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Loftin and Elizabeth Laurene Austin Loftin; sister, Peggy Drummond; brothers, Robert "Bob" Loftin and Herbert "Rusty" Loftin; granddaughter, Kristi Diane Campbell; and two nephews, Robert A.
