I loved Glenda Kay. I first met Glenda in 1986 when I started working in her office at Fort Benning, Ga. She was a very smart woman and full of the aloha spirit. I will miss her dearly. I feel an empty spot in my heart and she will forever be a part of my life.....

We loved Glenda so much--a smart, funny, creative lady with spirit and determination. She taught us many valuable life lessons she received from her very wise parents and from her own experiences, and taught two Californians to love and embrace all that is wonderful about the South. There is an empty place in our hearts that no one else can ever fill.

Charles just heard tonite of Glendas passing. She and I were good friends in high school and graduated together. Remember spending night with her playing with the puppies and all those cocks of your dads chiming on the hour for five minutes at different times. She was a sweet very intligent girl. I got in tojch with her the end of ast year and we talked for an hour so sorry for your loss and prayers are extended to yohr whole family

Charles, very sorry to hear of Glenda's passing. Hadn't seen her in many years, but remember her quite well. Glenda and my older sister, Harriet Ellison, were very close friends in school,...and I was the "little brother" hanging around in those days. Harriet is a retired school teacher in Slidell, La. and was unable to come up here for Glenda's service ( as for myself, I am obligated to a tax client meeting and am, sadly, unable to come to the service,....but just wanted to let you and your family know we are thinking of you at this tough time). Incidentally, I have fond memories of not only Glenda, but your parents, as well..... images that pop up in my mind include your mom and all the chihuahua puppies she was raising , ya'll's neat house , a gold-colored Pontiac station wagon, and a jeep ( green, I believe) parked in the yard there. All this just mixes together with fun times in the early 60s when things seemed to be so simple and nice. Will miss Glenda. Comfort and blessings to you all! --Bill Ellison

Charles and family, Glenda was my classmate at CHS and we also were in Girl Scouts together for many years. I last saw her at our 50th HS reunion and enjoyed talking with her. I will always remember her beautiful smile! My deepest sympathy on your loss.
