Columbus, Georgia- Glenda Poole Warner passed away June 18, 2017, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Born September 1, 1936, in Columbus, Georgia to parents Woodard L. Poole and Mary Gailmard Poole, she was educated in the public schools of Columbus and was a graduate of Columbus High School. A gifted pianist and organist, after graduating high school she continued her study of music at LaGrange College. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Reginald M. Warner, Jr.; sons, Randy (Connie) Warner and Ronnie (Kathy) Warner; daughter-in-law, Lisa P. Warner; grandchildren, Randall (Rikki) Warner, Jack Warner, Hank (Frances) Warner, Allie (Taylor) Warner Hinson, Caroline Warner and Mary Margaret Warner; and her sister, Gail P. Grantham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Alan Warner.
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend J Grantham officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus.
