Midland, Georgia - Mrs. Hattie Pearl Seldon 84, transitioned into her heavenly home on June 6, 2023 at Orchard View Skilled Nursing Center in Coumbus, GA. Hattie was born on July 17, 1938 in Harris County, GA. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday June 12, 2023 at Christian Valley Church, 11175 Highway 315 West, Cataula, GA., with Rev Eric Seldon, Pastor Officiating. Interment will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery, 361 Central Church Rd., Ellerslie, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4-6pm at Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC. Immediately after interment, repast will be held at Christian Valley Church. Hattie is survived by her children, Dr. Beverly Dawkins Lyn-Cok, Shirley Ann (Gaines) Davis, Dennis Lee Seldon, Willie Lee (Gail) Seldon Jr., Pastor Eric Bernard (Nina)Seldon, Meisha (Michael)Seldon Senior and her siblings, Mattie Will Brown and Elder Johnny Lee (Dr. Pearl)Williams. First let me address the photo which is gorgeous, she's classy & sassy all in one. But now the rest. I really enjoyed the time I knew Queen Hattie Seldon. When I lived down the street from her. Mrs. Hattie made my day every day I saw her. She really taught me some things about life that was real,true and funny. I have used all of them, even after knowing what she told me , I still messed up at times. But she will be missed. My prayers and condolences are with the family.
