Columbus, GA- Mr. Howard "Mule" Hardrick, Jr died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home. He was 49 years old and resided at 874 Stafford Court in Columbus.
A native of Columbus and the son of Mrs. Annie V. Hardrick and the late Howard Hardrick, Sr, Howard, Jr was born September 25, 1964.
As a youngster, he attended Holsey Chapel CME Church and later united with Holsey Monumental CME Church. He attended Hardaway High School and was employed as a Repo Agent with Speedy Recovery. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Ronnie Phillips and Delores Miles.
Surviving other than his mother of Columbus are one brother, Danny Phillips(Linda); four sisters, Barbara Phillips Tolbert(Harry), Charlotte Hardrick McCoy(Allen Sr.), Janice Hardrick White and Shell Hardrick Lee(Frank); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Hardrick will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 after a 11:00 A.M. Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of Holsey Monumental CME Church officiated by Pastor Javon Jackson. Rev. Marquise Hardrick will deliver the Eulogy. The procession will be leaving from 3012 Gleason Avenue 10:30 am. Visitation is 1 til 6:00 P.M. today at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Progressive Funeral Home, Inc, "A Touch Of Dignity For Those Who Care."

It is with much sadness that I say goodbye to my cousin Mule. I don't think I have ever been in his presence when (even in pain) he did not muster a smile. To say he loved his family would be an understatement...he "adored" his family and readily showed it no matter who was around. The compassion you showed during the worst of times for some of our family members will never be forgotten. I will truly miss your smile and kind nature. We love you but GOD loves you more.
