Hubert Grant Sr. April 14, 1949- October 21, 2006 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Hubert Grant Sr., age 57, of 695 Illges Road, Columbus, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Nazareth Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert L. Holston will officiate and the final disposition will be cremation. Visitation will be today from noon until 4 p.m. followed by a family hour from 4 until 6 p.m. The family will receive friends and the cortege at #2 Kingswood Ct., Columbus. Visitation will be Friday from 12 until 4 p.m. followed by a family hour from 4 until 6 p.m. There will be no public viewing of the remains. Mr. Grant was born April 14, 1949 in Columbus, GA., the son of Clark and Mary Hazel Grant, he was a member and usher of Nazareth Baptist Church. he was a driver and packer for Covan Moving and Storage Company. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Felecia Jordan. Devoted survivors who will cherish his memories are two sons, Hubert (Andresa) Grant and Christopher Brier, both of Columbus; two daughters, Katrina (Matthew) McReynolds of Ft. Stewart, GA. and Marcia Brooks of Columbus; three brothers, Eugene (Arlene) Grant of NYC, Homer (Victoria) Grant of Eufaula, AL. and Ydee (Khalial) Dupree of Dothan, AL.; three sisters, Gloria McCane of Philadelphia, PA., Mary L. Henderson of Montgomery, AL. and Loretta (Melvin) Hood of Columbus; a devoted companion, Wanda J. Brooks of Columbus; twelve grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
