Ivan Hass Obituary

Ivan "Gene" Hass August 17, 1932- May 11, 2006 PHENIX CITY, AL— Ivan "Gene" Hass, 73, of Phenix City, AL died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM EST, Monday, May 15, 2006 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Ed Brawner officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening (Saturday) from 5-7 PM EST. Mr. Hass was born August 17, 1932 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Ivan A. Hass and Ella Owens Hass. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hass is survived by his wife of 40 years, Annie Parker Hass of Phenix City, AL.; four daughters, Deborah Grey of Aberden, MS., Gwendolyn Dykes of Tuscaloosa, AL., Michelle Anderson and fiance' Dennis Stillwell of Salem, AL., and Tracy Johnson of Smiths Station, AL.; two sons, Reginald Archer and wife Wanda of Smiths Station, AL., and Elton Hass of Richmond, VA.; four sisters, two brothers, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in memory of Ivan "Gene" Hass to Vista Care Hospice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bruce Cline at the VA Clinic and Vista Care Hospice.
