Boy I tell you, the first time i met Ol Jack and the kids was back at the boys club he would give me rides home when i didn't have one. Jack and the kids basically grew on me like family. Jack was a good man would bend over backwards for you, if you needed anything he would help you with it. Jack was a Angel taking off this earth too soon, he has touched so many peoples lives and forever will be a good friend and father figure to me. Love and miss ya man.

I have such fond memories of "PapaBear" Jack. I am a dispatcher and he was one of my favorite drivers. He was one of the sweetest people that I have ever met. I'll share an incident that happened one night as I was dispatching. It was late in the night and a driver ran out of gas. I asked for a volenteer to go get him some gas. Would'nt you know that Papa Bear was the driver that volenteered. Well that's not the end of the story. A couple of hours later the same driver ran out of gas again. When that transmission came across the radio I cringed I knew I would have a hard time getting him some help. The Lord must have been looking over the situation that night because Papa Bear heard the driver and he volenteered a second time. Many drivers would have helped the first time and took that driver some gas but only an angel like PapaBear would have went back the second time. He really was one of the sweetest people that I have ever met. I know PapaBear's taxi family will really miss him just as his physical family misses him. All are in my prayers tonight. I will miss you PapaBear,

Dispatcher Joy Carter.

I worked with Jack SR in the Parts Dept at Bill Heard Chev when I was a teenager. He always looked out for me and I remember how much he loved his family. By reading all the kind words on these pages, I can tell that Jack Jr had those same caring qualities.

To all the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will remember all of you in prayer and hope that God will give you the strength to get through this terrible time.

Jack,

You were one of my best friends through elementary to high school and of course still are. I speak of you in the present tense because I know you are alive in Jesus Christ. Everyone will miss seeing your smile though and hearing your laughter. I never knew anyone who could walk so far on their hands across a school yard just to make me laugh. No wonder you were such a good track star and all-around athlete.

Your family will be in my prayers, I know the pain of losing a

father. You're very special and we all love you. JVHS '71 Love, Becky

Papa Bear, Glad to have known you. You have left behind many friends.I can say that you have many friends and family who will miss you. Let us remember that Papa bear was loaned to us by the Lord of the worlds and he only took what was his. We need to draw strength from his word and live our lives as Papa Bear lived his. Helping as many people he could. To my fellow taxi drivers I say now is the time to come together and not be seperated. Yellow Cab # 524

To the family of Jack:

Jack was one of the good ones. When I had lost everything in my life due to domestic violence he was kind enough to help me get back and forth to work. When I received my vehicle back, we remained friends for years and years. I know all of us will have

thoughts of Jack always. I will never see another Gold Star cab without thinking of him. May God bless and keep all of you in this time of need.

To the family of "PAPA BEAR" I met Jack over 10 year. He was the nicest man anyone could ever meet. There was never a bad day for him. No matter if it was 12 a.m. or 12 p.m. I remember one morning I had to call him at 4 a.m. to cancel him picking me up for work because I was not sure If I had a ride the night before. So I was to call him either way to let him know. He would have to drive 45 minutes to get me and was not mad when I called and woke him up and actually was gonna do me a favor because at the time I was having financial troubles. He helped many a person in his years of life and was a blessing to be around. I know the angels in heaven was happy to see Jack come home. May God bless your whole family in your time of sorrow. Know that God is looking after you all. I am so sorry that Jack was taken away in such a horrible way. May God Bless you ALL

Like the spirit of eagles you loved.
