SFC James W. Jerman, Jr. "Jim" December 22, 1956- September 6, 2006 COLUMBUS, GA— SFC James W. Jerman, Jr. "Jim", 49, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday September 6, 2006 at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. Graveside services with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 in the Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Rev. Riley Middleton and Mike Mitchell will officiate. Mr. Jerman was born December 22, 1956 in Ft. Pierce, FL son of the James W. Jerman, Sr. and Mabel McCall Jerman. He was a General Contractor and a retired U.S. Army Vietnam veteran with 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jerman of Columbus, his daughters and son-in-law, Amanda and Bob Baker of Newnan, GA, Angela Jerman of Columbus, 2 grandchildren, LeAnn Baker and Angelina Baker. In lieu of flowers, make memorials to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, P.O. Box 14385, Tampa, FL 33690 in memory of SFC James W. Jerman, Jr. "Jim".

I am so sorry to here about Jim. I just now heard the tragic news. He was a great friend, that I respected and admired. He loved his family very much, and spoke of you every time I would see him.
