Columbus, GA- Mr. James Lewis Kindrex was born to the late Darryl Lee and Marie H. Kindrex on October 13, 1957 in Hatchechubbee, Alabama.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:30PM EDT, at Shady Grove AME Zion Church in Hurtsboro, AL.
James was employed with West Point and Fieldcrest Textile in Columbus, GA. Later he was employed with Columbus Housing Authority in Columbus, GA for 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marie H. Kindrex, father Darryl L. Kindrex, and brother Mr. George Henry Tate, Jr.
James leaves behind to cherish his love and memories, on daughter, Ms. Marquita C. Kindrex; life partner, Ms. Mary P. Collins; five brothers, Mr. Johnny Byrd of Talladega, AL, Mr. Jesse Byrd of Huntsboro, AL, Mr. Theodore (Marilyn) Jelks of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Kasey Kindrex of Hatchechubbee, Alabama, and Mr. Kelvin (Yasmeen) Harris of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Mrs. Geraldine (O.B.) Brundidge and Mrs. Aslean Florence, both of Columbus, GA, Mrs. Bessie Cooper Harris of Tuskegee, AL and Ms. Sallie Renea Kindrex of Phenix City, AL; one sister-in-law Mrs. Louise Tate; one uncle, Mr. Johnny B. Kindrex of Phenix City, AL; one aunt, Mrs. Ethel Jean (Ozell) Gary of Hatchechubbee, Alabama; one Goddaughter Brittany Anderson; four stepchildren, Willie C. (Vanessa) Lewis, Ottia (Cheryl) Lewis, William (Lashawn) Lewis, and Shekelia (Patrick) Glance; two grandchildren, Jakevia and Ayani Williams; ten step-grandchildren; two devoted cousins, Eddie Warren and Lawrence Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
