Phenix City, AL- Mr. James Lowe, Sr.,91, of 901 Larry Court, Phenix City, AL passed Friday, October 9, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, October 16, 2015 at Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Pastor J.C. Fryer, officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 1 - 8 p. m. EST with a family hour from 6 - 7 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Lowe was born December 1, 1923 in Barbour County, AL to the late Joseph Lowe and the late Contrilla Jackson Lowe. He was a member of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, had served in the U.S. Army and had been employed as a Brick Mason with William Construction Co.
Survivors include five children, Betty Jean Lowe, Helen Thibodeaux, Woodrow (Linda) Lowe, Elizabeth Fontenette and Eddie (Deborah) Lowe; two surrogate sons, George (Jill) Thomas and Billy Jackson; one brother, David Lowe; 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
