James White Obituary

James Harold White September 4, 1920- May 10, 2007 SEALE, AL— James Harold White, 86, of Seale, AL. died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at his home. Graveside services will be held at Oswichee Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL., Saturday at 3 p.m. EDT, with the Rev. Tommy Poole officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Mr. White was born September 4, 1920 in Muscogee County, GA., son of the late Clinton White and Oscie Goodin White. He was retired owner of White's Tenneco Service Station on 6th Ave. in Columbus, GA. Mr. White was preceded in death by a grandson, Holden Layfield. He is survived by his wife, Ebbie Laverne Corbitt White of Seale, AL.; a daughter, Brenda White Layfield and husband Bob of Big Canoe, GA.; a son, Don Tillman and wife Lisa of Villa Rica, GA.; sisters, Helen Stahl, Blanche Gibson and Hilda Sessions; grandchildren, Tracey Tillman Stutman and husband Nick, Paige Tillman Case and husband Byron, Shannon Tillman Boss and husband Kelley, Heath Layfield and wife Sarah, Heather Layfield McCullough and husband Clay, Mackenzie Tillman and Mason Tillman; great grandchildren, Blake Lynes, Chandler Humphries, Madison Case, Joc Case, Brandon Boss, Bailey Boss, Beau Layfield and Corbitt McCullough. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oswichee Baptist Church in Fort Mitchell or Vista Care Hospice, 3615 S. Railroad St., Phenix City, AL. 36867.
