Columbus, Georgia - James "Jimmy" D. Williams, 89, of Columbus, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 3:00 PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with a visitation one hour prior. The burial will follow funeral services at Parkhill Cemetery.
Jimmy was born on May 9, 1935 in Fairfax, Virginia. He always provided for his family by being a hard worker and was always someone you could count on. He never hesitated to help anyone in need. His faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ, carried him through after the passing of his wife, Robbie. Jimmy loved serving the Lord and telling others about his Jesus. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Robbie L. Williams. He is survived by his children, Diane Smoak (Jolan), Marie Massie (Hal), Beverly Cothren (Steve); four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He will truly be missed in a very special way by those at Calvary Baptist Church. His active participation in Portico Prayer meetings daily at noon was so uplifting. He loved to Pray and Praise His Lord and share his Faith with everyone. . He served as my family Deacon for a long time.
He and his sweet wife were forever calling to check on me and my family. He will be missed. Love and Prayers to his family. Bobbye Golden
