Goodnight JD man of God, my friend and cousin. My sincere condolences to the family. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I will always carry the name yourself and your brother William Upshaw III (Lil Man) gave me, Ging-ale. Love peace and blessings.

Mrs. Bernice Upshaw and Family I am so sorry for your loss. It saddens me to see you go through these trying times, but we all must leave this world, if we want to live forever. I can only imagine how it must feel to lose someone that you love and has built a life with. GOD, in the Most Holy Precious Name of JESUS , knows and will bring you through. It is so true that HE never has left us nor will HE ever leave us alone. Remember: "Absent from body is to be present with Christ." Continue to pray and ask HIM to help you and immediately start to thank HIM for your deliverance. Take Care and may the GOD comfort, strengthen, and return your joy and peace like no other can.

To my Beloved Cousin and Friend: Rev. JD Upshaw. You have done this Family Proud. " Crossing The Bar" Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar 2., When I am put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full or sound or foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For though from out our Bourne 3., of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar. "Alfred, Lord Tennyson."
