Jed Simmons was my father -n- law. He has been a part of my life for 14 years. My own father passed away 11 years ago. Jed was a wonderful father figure to have over this past decade. He's made me laugh, showed me love, given me gifts when I least expected them and always made me feel like a part of his family. To say that it has been a privilege to have him in our lives is an understatement. He was such a loving, giving and fun loving person, that every moment spent with him will be cherished.
I am thankful to God that my daughter, Jed's granddaughter, was able to experience the unique love that comes from having a granddad such as him. Her life will forever be enriched because he showed her such love & attention. As she grows into a young woman she will always be able to look back on her memories with him and know that she was loved. That is irreplaceable and invaluable.
I also feel so blessed to have a husband that is so much like his father! He is considerate, loving, generous & funny! I am thankful to Jed for setting such a great example of a devoted & loving husband. I am thankful for his example of being a good father. Mine and my daughter's days are enriched because his son shows us the same love he was shown as a child. Because of him, my life was and continues to be truly blessed in so many ways! So, thank you Jed for the person you were. I know that I will see you again. That will definitely be a time for rejoicing!
